‘Line of Flight’ (Digital Media & Print) is one of a series of works shown as part of the City Supplements exhibition, from May to June 2009, at Ps2 Gallery in Belfast. https://www.pssquared.org/research/city-supplements
The exhibition explored the themes such as, alternative urban surveys, hidden natures, place making and mapping. At that time, Ps2 Gallery was located on Donegall Street. The artworks were created from images extracted from Google Street View. ‘Line of Flight’ reconstructs a sequence of events captured by Google’s cameras, what appears to be a large bird, perhaps a bird of prey, pursuing a flock of smaller birds, most likely starlings, in and around the St Anne’s Cathedral.
